Chinese languages

Hi, I'm a Chinese student who is studying in France, and my study is on Linguistics, I'm very interested in all languages, and will be very motivated to exchange some experience with some other friends.

Well, some of the linguists now oppose strongly that Taiwanese Min Nan contains 8 tones as traditionally considered, I don't know how it is now.

Could anybody tell me about the relationship between the Hakka languages and the Yue languages?

Well, the so-called "Taiwanese" is based on the geography, in Taiwan, people will speak several kinds of languages, not only the Min Nan series languages, is that right?
So I said it's "more than"one.

Well I'm a newbie here, and I have just chosen as my essay's topic the taiwanese Min. I think everbody calls as "Taiwanese" or "Taiwanese language" because of the geographic categorizations, not a respecting view INSIDE of it. I think the so-called "Taiwanese" is but ma...
