Well, some of the linguists now oppose strongly that Taiwanese Min Nan contains 8 tones as traditionally considered, I don't know how it is now.

Well, the so-called "Taiwanese" is based on the geography, in Taiwan, people will speak several kinds of languages, not only the Min Nan series languages, is that right?
So I said it's "more than"one.

In fact it's just my own opinion, I don't think many will agree, XiXi :)
