it was on some drama and the mother was scolding her daughter for being that--i guess the daughter didn't behave cuz she did something bad. tell me what this "ya sei hou" could mean, anyone.

There are just a lot of amazing gaps in my knowledge right now... for instance, I know how to use "dann hei" as the conjunction "but", but I don't have any idea how to say "and." Please forgive my spelling... kind of a German phonetic transliteration going on... hope it...

Do you know if “loquats” are called 枇杷 because they are shaped like the Chinese lute, the pipa 紫] (Mand: pi2 pa2, Cant: pei4 pa4)?

I started out by studying the kanji or the Japanese adaptations of the hanzi. I then reallized that on the mainland they used Simplifed characters as the "hanzi' of modern China.

People adopt different writing systems throughout history depending on who's the strongest power around them at different times. For example, China has historically been a world superpower.
