Thank you very much for your detailed answer, Aurelio. Now I got it. 8) My girlfriend only speaks Mandarin and Cantonese (like her mother), so I can't understant ke-po. :? My best guess : mother-in-law ????

Thank you very much for your answers. So Ban-lam-gu or ban-lam-gi is exactly the same as min-nan-yu ? I mean, is it written the same in sinograms ?
