where to learn
for a while i have been wanting 2 learn cantonese, but it seems like such a difficult language to learn. is it really as hard as it looks and where is the best place to learn the basics? please help!!

What languages do you know how to speak? Do you want to learn how to speak it or learn how to read and write it too? I'll tell you how hard it is...

Hi Adam,
As I can see from your e-mail suffix you might come from the UK.
Well, I guess the best place to learn Cantonese is probably here in Hong Kong. The Chinese University has the best language courses around (check out www.cuhk.edu.hk/clc).
But if you prefer to stay in Britain, you could also try the language centre at SOAS (School of African and Asian Studies - University of London).
