How do you say in Cantonese "pick up" like "pick up the books at the library" or "pick up the photos from the store."

How do you say to "pick up" smthng from the ground. like "she picked up the paper from the ground for me."

there's a word for pick up, as in pick up from the floor. I don't know romanization and tones so i can't help you though. It sounds like "jup" (maybe the romanization is "zap" i don't know) To say you picked something up from the floor, say that from the floor you "zap do" (or maybe it's "do" in romanization? it's homer simpson's DOH") something.

For pick up as in picking up library books or photos, I think you'd just use the word for get.

For picking up people (like from the airport) you'd use "zip". (sounds like jeep? i don't know if that romanization is correct) it's jie1 in mandarin if that helps, sorry
