Is it me noly

Post by Eng Wai »

I don't like the new interface. It looks to similar to the numerous forums in the web world and not simple clear and user firendly to me.

Is it me only who has this problem? Do you know any other forums on the web offering similar kind of discussions? www.asiawind.com/forums seems good but I am annoyed by the fact that I can't view all the posts in one page like how this chineselanguage/org/forums used to be.

Or could someone else teach me how to change my personal viewing settings? Sorry I know it is irrelevant to Hokkiens.

Thanks

Eng Wai

( I do appreciate some newly added features like poll though)

The good news is any links can be done without any sign< > or http in it.

I was wrong because some old links still working very well. Some old links by me without http or < > become a link now.I think they need some time to upgrade

Does it have to be THIS pink?

The general format is alright (like Eng noticed, certainly not unique, but that's fine with me, one piece of paper is not so different from the other, either) ...

But I'm seriously considering going colourblind to stay here  Ayooh, cannot dahan ...

I prefer the old one

Post by Sim »

Hi all,

I liked the fact that in the old forum the new posts were marked "new" in red. I don't see any equivalent thing now. Also, I liked the ability to switch between threaded and non-threaded view.

Both of these were rather nice features, and I haven't yet discovered anything about the new one that I really like in preference to the old one. So, I suppose my vote is that I prefer the OLD one.

Cheers,
Sim.

I can't see the point for recording down how many views in each topic. Many times it is just the person who read the post again.Just like web sites shouldn't be telling people how many have visited their sites.

And do you notice that, at the bottom of the page, there are different colours spots which desigend for popular thread, closed thread etc. However, eveyone is in red, can your eyes be so sharp to differentiate 6 different kinds of reds in a short instance?

To be honest, I, personally, am not comfortable with this settings. Though it is just "a piece of paper (Aurerio)", will you write on toilet paper?

It might take a long while for me to get used to the new setting, thus i will be hibernating for a bit of time.....

Enjoy your chat and discussions. Gion hi huat chai

I know the administrator must have paid a small fortune and immense energy to maintain the forum. Bravo and thanks to Thomas.

But I am still eagerly waiting for the wu languages forum...

Hey I don't mean to complain and complain, I am just voicing my opinions. Hope everyone here does not mind me being childish.
