Good Administrator

Post by Eng Wai »

I sincerely think that the administrator of this forum does worth a special topic for his effort to take the readers views into account to improve the forums. Bravo and thumbs up to him, the current format is much more better than the pinky one. A wu forum is added as well.

I wish this forum as energetic as the morning cock, members as many and active as the numerous naughty chicken, and also ever productive and constructive as the unsung hen. More importantly, a visit to these forums will be as tasty as the chiken drumsticks

I will wake up from my hibernation or my winter slumber. I still have lots of quetions to ask, one by one..

Hi, Eng Wai!

I certainly agree. Thanks to the unsung administrator of this forum for all his/ her or their effort (and yes, the blue is nice)!

But Eng Wai, is it possible that you had an overdose of chicken feet while in hibernation  ?

Regards,
Aurelio

Eng Wai,

Nice topic, thanks for taking the initiative. Yes, I suppose I've never ever bothered to think who "manages" this Forum. I've just taken it for granted (but am of course very grateful for its existence).

I did speculate some months (years?) back that there must have been someone actually managing the Forum when I noticed a huge number of postings by a very strange poster had all disappeared. While some of the things said by him/her were rather (well, extremely!) strange, in a way I found it a pity his/her postings had disappeared. [He/she had a strange theory that the only "real" Chinese were the Minnan, and that Mandarin was just a northern mixed language contaminated by Huns and Mongols and what have you].

Anyway, I'd like to add my thanks to the the person or people who manage this Forum.

Sim.

PS. In a previous reply, I forgot again to fill in my nick/name in the "username" box. Could it possibly be made "must fill", with a note saying "put 'guest' if you can't think of anything else"? -S.

I also would like to thank the administrators of this forum & site (chineselanguage.org). Blue colour is just perfect. And one of the most important enhancement here is that we can view chinese characters - both Big5 & GB - without have to change our encoding. Thanks a lot! 多謝 to1-sia7! :)

I too hope this forum is as energetic as the morning cock, and I hope it stands strong and firm and resolute through all difficulties that may come its way, like wood that will not bend.

Wood may not be bent but it certainly can be broken. Ha ha :P  . Just joking. No offense, Mark!

Hehehe... Thanks a lot.
I wrote "anyone can delete/edit", not long after that, we can't.
I wrote that the pink red ice is too feminine (isn't it?), the blue silver is made as default.
(I know, when you try to register you can choose "red ice" or "blue silver" as default, even though I failed but now "blue silver" is default)
One problem: Viet chars are broken.
I didn't check the previous posts but now we can write it (I guess).

Actually, Aurelio made some posts there but they were mysteriously deleted.
