What hong has posted is useful for anyone who knows Mandarin.

Generally words which are 陰平, 陽平, 去 and 上 in Mandarin will also be 陰平, 陽平, 去 and 上 in Hokkien, unless they are 入.

Remarkably, there are few characters which do not follow this rule. Of course the Mandarin and Hokkien 上 and 去 have roughly the opposite pronunciation, i.e. Hokkien 上 sounds like Mandarin 去, and (very roughly speaking) vice versa.

I think I know why some researches on taiwanese tone came out with 5th tone yangping as 212 ,224 or313 instead of 12 or 24.These are all just like ciangchiu sect in china namely zhangpu, tongshan and zhaoan 5th tone.
It is a proof that when they want to write a fangyanzhi in any cities in Taiwan, they have to do the tone research but not follow taipei's version.
As for above high 1st tone in research above ,it may be a mistake for quanzhou city and nanan high second tone.

pah4 - hundred
pak4 - north
pak8 - to tie

sah8 - to boil
sak4 - to push

Many of the chars have the same shape and sound with korean hangul writing.
Also the way it is written, in blocks of alphabets.
