No offense again. I asked the question only because of your statement:

Quote:"I can't remember where mark asked about hanzi for pain is thiann3.The hanzi is not 疼 or 痛 .Prof.Lirulong doesn't know the correct hanzi but he thinks it could be the word from 集 ? -heart radical on the left with 丁 on right."Unquote

In this statement you wrote:"...The hanzi is not 疼 or 痛 ..." This sounded like a conclusion remark. Okay, now I know what you mean.

I would agree with Mark that we should try to find a more reasonable guess.

The reason 疼cannot has a baidu of thiann is because it is 曾摄,痛 is 通摄 with no possible iann sound. But we can find above word is 透母梗摄 which has baidu of iann.
Just like 行kiann5,兄 hiann1 are also in this摄。

I am sure you are familiar with the term "tam-a" (just now, 刚才). All this while, I never knew the Hanzi for it. But recently, I heard someone pronounce it as "cam-a". And after reading your ta-poo/ca-poo post, it led me to think that the two examples fall under the same class of t-/c- variations.

Anyway, could 'tam-a"/"cam-a" be 當仔 or 跕仔? I know 刚才 is a Mandarin term, and a late development. I am trying to find out the old Chinese way of saying/writing "just now", using the Southern dialects (Yue and Min) as a starting point for clues.
we can see cuanciu dict tam ma is just now.
cim ma for now is not used by malaysian .I was very happy when I heard tam ma over the radio from cuanciu
