I find that 永春 in cuanchiu use 石+咸 kinn1 for soap.雲霄 in ciangchiu use 臘 lah8.

I have also heard another term for 'ugly' - "au bin" <>面.

It is au-sai-bin 漚屎面。The first hanzi could be wrong.It doesn't mean ugly but just that guy is in bad mood.

I only say au-bin, never heard of the sai. And I agree with Hong: in my usage it actually means "to sulk".
