一晡久 cit8-po`1-ku2 in my dialect usually means a quite long time. e.g. 做一晡久 cue3-cit8-po`1-ku2 = take a long time to do something.

For 等一下 "tan2 cit8 e7", sandhi form "tan2-cit0-e0" (the accent of the whole phrase is on "tan2"), and when spoken fast, it becomes "tan2 ce0" or "tan2 ce3"", in which 一下 are merged into one sound.

The term I hear quite often in Penang - in the context of "nowadays", rather than "now" - is cit-pang 即 ?. I am not sure if the 'pang' is the same Hanzi as 'teng-pang' 頂 ? ("in the past"), or whether the 'pang' is actually a mis-pronunciation of 'bang' 往 - which has the definition "past" (as in 往時).

Amego, thanks for reminding me about bue7[be7]-hu3. Hong, thanks for the hanji 赴. Another phrase we usually use is hu3-kau3 赴遘[到] "to come to someone's rescue".

Mark, thanks for bringing up cit4-pang1, I haven't heard of it quite a while. Sometimes we also use cit4-pang1 (nowadays in my dialect) and ting2-pang1 (in the past). I don't know the hanji for pang1 but it sounds exactly like 邦. Btw 往 is ong2, not bang2; 往時 is ong2-si5.

Cit4-cun7 此陣 in our usage can mean now or nowadays, depends on context. But even if it means nowadays, its timespan tends to be shorter than cit4-pang1. Another word: ta*1 (當?) is more or less equivalent to cit4-cun7. The definite term for now is tong1-kim1 當今.

We also usually use ce2 to mean now, nowadays, currently, "from now on". I don't know its hanji. May be it's a contraction of two or more words.

Cit4-cua7 means "this trip/journey" in my dialect. Is 迣 the hanji for cua7 = line/stripe/track?

迣( zhi) mean 遮擋﹐超越。I still don't know the benzi for tann1 .I heard a lot in taiwanese drama saying kau3 tann1 =until now.
幫=回 is mentioned a lot in taiwanese dict 前幫﹐下幫﹐後幫﹐頂幫。.In mandarin it is classifier =批and 群。Only these two meanings given by Prof.Chiu in his dict but no 幫=回。
A popular word for now is 現此時 hian7chu2si5. 此時 is old chinese word for from 楚辭。
現今﹐現陣﹐現時。I am not sure about 現晡時 is now too because 晡poo1 means 申時 3p.m. to 5p.m.
But we have 早起晡=上午。一晡=半天。一晡久= 一陣子 to support it.
