teochew= mih but it is not benzi. It is 物 like us .

Hong: what is 做麽? Is it like Hokkien tso-mih su and Hakka tso (tso mak kai) (why)?

Prof.Lirulong says 粵瓊閩做乜為怎麼來自做甚麼提供了論證。怎麼原來就是作麼,作麼就是作甚麼。做乜顯然是早期閩南話的說法。潮語做呢是m-n旁轉。I know teochew use cho ni everyday but are minnan in China and Taiwan still using it,I haven't asked anyone of them.
