In Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages:

Check Install files for East Asian Languages

In Text services and input languages you can select Chinese Input methods

Good luck

Not done, You must add Chinese IME next.
Like PinYing or WuBi.

You can contact me "ChinaID@msn.com" with msn.

You could try the Chinese Editor, an Chinese Characters IME based on pinyin prononciation:

Enjoy.

Hiya,

This isn't to do with font but it is to do with inputting Chinese characters. I followed the instructions above but now I've done that... what do I do? Does the pinyin input come up automatically or do I have to "find" it?

Help!

To add new fonts in Windows XP manually, simply copy the font files (often True Type Fonts) to the directory \WINDOWS\Fonts and then restart your word editor. In case your word editor does not load up the newly added fonts, reboot your computer and then try again.

If you use purchased font package, the package often comes with installation software.
