^^ wow..then may I ask..why they use li instead of lu?? why there are so many diffrent Hokkien tone?? I keep on wondering for this few years hehe..

Experts from China had explained about this .At first the vowel is lir,tir=lw,tw in cuanciu.Then it became li,ti in ciangciu. u sound appeared in xiamen not long ago.

I have an article by Prof.Chiu saying tainan is hueh
Two sects in ciangciu 平和 and 华安 is huih like cuanciu.
Don't forget that we also have ciangciu sects in 安溪 china as well.

Check your email. The first one 中古音的 ir 前移 failed to mention ciangciu vowel.But the fourth one did mention it.
