I have heard malaysians saying siann .It seems it is a cuanciu word but not xiamen and ciangciu.
siann =些是表疑问的语气副词。
1。真实性＝问话者认为事情可能不是这样，但又不是很肯定。
我 siann 有说过＝我真的有说过了吗
2。假性问＝与侬配合使用，表示反问语气
侬汝 siann 无交钱啦＝你钱已经交了吧
3。具体性
汝昨日 siann有去图书馆＝你昨天有去图书馆吗?
汝siann 卜带我行＝你真的要带我走吗？
siann 有人来啦＝真的有人来了吗？
这项物件 siann 有买啦＝这件东西已经买啦？
即代志昨日 siann 阮无对你说过伢＝昨天我难道没对你说过这件事情？

hmm..siann do they used that? I live in Penang for 7 years..but as I know..Siann is for boring right? haha..usually I always said "aiyahhh.. ane siann" haha

(1) In the first example:

The statement,“我 siann 有说过”, is actually a question asking whether I have indeed said it. In this case, this word “siann” should be an abbreviation of “siann2 sit8” (a twist of tongue of “ciann2 sit8”) meaning “true”.
So, the sentence in full should be: “我 siann2 sit8 有说过?”

(2) In the second example:

2。假性问＝与侬配合使用，表示反问语气
侬汝 siann 无交钱啦＝你钱已经交了吧

My understanding of this word “siann” is: "siang5" (汉字: 上相下同) meaning "similar" or "it seems to be" (好像). (I have also heard people using “siang2 ka0 (neutral tone)” instead of just “siang2”.)

Another way to say it would be "chin1 chiunn7". If the word is replaced with "chin1 chiunn7", the meaning of the sentence in the example would be the same.

(3) I could not distinguish the third scenario from the first.

To me, this category of examples are applicable in the first scenario questioning the truth. The word “siann” here is the same as that in the first example, i.e., the abbreviation of “siann2 sit8”.

we say siann 5(rising ).I also think it is from siang.The tone 22 is hard to get it from 正 ciann3>2
I think we say siang 22,31 or 21 (ka)
However note that his sect of yongchun 上声 is 33 not 53.
