Hi...I had a few Cantonese -> English and English->Cantonese translations. I appreciate whoever is looking at this and is taking time out of their lives to help!

For the Cantonese->English words I have two words to be translated. The first is "dou pei" and the second one is "dou yeet"... I know the first one is about skin and the second one is about something getting hot/warm.

For English->Cantonese, I wanted to know how you would say the word "control" (verb) in respects of being able to control say your car, or buttons, or such things as being able to "control" someone. The other word I wanted to ask how to say is "adjust" (verb) as in adjusting the way perhaps your house would look, buttons, furniture, etc.

1, dau6 pei4 ~ pockmarks, a person with a pockmarked face.

2. dau1 jit6 ~ when using a wok for cooking, you use a wok spoon(small spade) to lift the food up and down, back and forth to acquire even heat on all surfaces.

3, there are many terms in Cantonese to mean control. It depends on what you are controlling. for driving car , it's zaa1 ce1, for pressing a button. it's gam6 zai3; formally for control is hung3 zai3, you can say hung3 zai3 gan2 gaa3 ce1 instead of zaa1 ce1,

4. ji4 wai2 ~ change the positions , move things to another places

What other types of words are there for "control"... perhaps for controlling the rate of flow of water or air freshener in the car, controlling the crowd, etc? Thanks!!

for water flow or air in or out , we say gaau3 which is a short form from tiu4 gaau3. i.e. adjust in English

for crowd of people , we say hung3 zai3, it covers the meanings of making them do things in order, and controlling the amount of people
