Post by edward Oei Tjong Hie »

Hi My name is edward,

I am trying to find the translation of the following name to Hokkien

Wong Hong Jie ( or Ji) (meaning: healthy child)

this will be the name of my unborn daughter but as my name is in Hokkien we need to translate her Cantonese name into Hokkien.

Thanks for helping me!

Regards,

Wong = 黃
Hong = 康
Jie ... do you make this in Mandarin or Cantonese? If it is a mandarin pronunciation, then, it would be the word "健" in Chinese, which forms the full meaning of HEALTHY when using together with "康","健康"。

ji is probably wrongly written, it should be zi3 "child" 子.
