Dear all,

What are the various ways to say "jealous" or "jealousy" in Cantonese?

For instance how would you say "He is very jealous." or "Are you jealous?" in Cantonese.

Please include characters and romanisation if possible.

he is very jealous→佢好妒忌
are you jealous→你係咪好妒忌?

How are you? Hope you had a Merry Christmas. I miss you at the Taishan site. Not much activity lately.

I don't know the proper romanization, but there are 2 ways to say jealous that I know of. It's "dou gay" and "hop cho". The last one is literally "sip vinegar". In my dialect of Hoi Ping it's oo gay (not to be confused with oo gay meaning hungry, different tones) and hop tu.
