Interesting idea. But with all due respect, it's unpractical. BTW, where do you come from? alefbet. I appreciate your interest in the Chinese language. I've got a couple of Brazilian friends from Embraer, currently they work in the Harbin Aircraft Factory, on the joint venture between China and Brazil of manufacturing regional jetliners. Most of these people have signed a two-year contract, and they are able to live in Harbin for a period of time which is long enough for them to learn some Chinese. One of them, Luciano for example, is doing well. he can send cellphone messages in Chinese with me. And Denise, whose husband is a colleague of Luciano, understands most Chinese characters I write. Both of them have spent less than two years to make that achievement, kinda impressing huh?

I suggest you might check this thread, it will assure you that there's no issue with Chinese characters that you shall be worried about at all.

Chinese is a different language, comparing with the western alphabet ones, It may seem a little bit too difficult to westerns. Because Chinese ha characters have to be written stroke by stroke, but whether something will disappear or not is not depend on convenience or not. Besides, to Chinese it is easy to type and write Chinese. If you want to learn Chinese character better, try http://www.hellomandarin.com
