Wikipedia article on Taiwanese

Post by SimL »

Hi all,

I don't know if readers were aware of this article in the Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwanese_ ... uistics%29

It seems to have been around since mid-2002, but only came to my attention recently. It caught my attention because it had been given an award as a "featured article" (shown by a star in the top right-hand corner). Along with a whole host of other criteria, the award is given for articles which "[are] well written, comprehensive, factually accurate, neutral and stable".

Anyway, just wanted to share,
Sim.

Hi All,

Also in Wikipedia, there is a separate "pedia" called Holopedia, written entirely in POJ. Those who would like to practice their reading skills in POJ will find this site pretty interesting.

http://zh-min-nan.wikipedia.org/wiki/Th ... -ia%CC%8Dh

or,

http://zh-min-nan.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holopedia

The term Holopedia has double meanings: it is based on the Greek word holos (whole) from which the English word holistic is derived; and it implies the Holo language.

As of today, there are 1,904 articles in Holopedia.
