Hi
I have some simple questions about Peh Oe Ji (POJ)
What tone mark/symbol is used for the 1st tone and what are two common words that use it (I'm not sure what is distinctive about it)?
What tone mark/symbol is used for the 4th tone?
What tone mark is used for the 8th tone and what is distinctive about it?
Thanks

Thanks but that's the site I'm using as my main reference but some of the tones don't have marks and I don't know how to write them without numbers and also 4 and 8 sound the same.

In POJ the first and fourth tones are written without tone marks. The eighth tone uses the ' mark.
The fourth and eighth tones are easy to tell because the words end with -h -p -t or -k. In standard Amoy Hokkien, 4th is low and 8th is high.
