In xiamen and northern ciangciu we can't use A+過+B but it is possible in certain southern ciangciu sect like Tongshan .In Prof Ong 's book cuanciu people can use only this formation A+強過 +B (強=kiunn5 )
(I misread an article last year by saying cuanciu city and huian also use 過 like cantonese and teochew)

There are two other ways to say because in minnan.
ah lo1 or just lo1. Use it at the beginning of a sentence.

I am not sure are there any font problem to read above articles.Just download some IPA font from www.eastling.org will solve the problem.This article was mentioned by henning.

we can say phah khi 拍起 for start 开始=tui cia phah khi
It seems that suann pa 山巴 is from teochew .I can find it even in 1840 teochew lesson
