Very kind of you! I think I am a jack of all trades, and master of none. I am one of those who can understand languages fairly well, but find it very difficult to speak them. So occasionally I am mistaken about points of usage because I misremember or have never had to understand the finer points. My other problem is that when I do try to speak, my language is very bookish - in Penang people often wonder if I am from Singapore or somewhere else, which I guess is better than them thinking dumb ang mo sai, which is what they would have thought before I started studying Hokkien!
