Inputing Peh Oe Ji tone marks on Computer

Post by jilang »

Hi

I've tried writing in POJ on my computer using the actual tone marks instead of using numbers. A problem I've encountered is that there are very few tone marks that are available when I use the insert symbol function in Microsoft Word. The ones available are only available for a few letters so it's impossible to write anything. I even tried copying characters from Wikipedia but they don't come out correctly on Microsoft Word. How can I type Peh Oe Ji in tones on computer?

Thanks

I've found a wikipedia site on how to do it but it is in the Min Nan wikipedia so there are some words that I do not understand.

I came across the word "jī-poâⁿ". Does anybody know the meaning?

And if anybody is interested the website I found was

Could it mean "keyboard"? As in word-plate?

That sounds right. In the end that particular program was too hard for me to use so I still need a way of inputting POJ.
