Thank you for your answers. Do you know any Taiwanese terms that mean "bad person" and "troublemaker"?

I went elsewhere to find out about Tawianese slang for brat and these were the terms given:

貶小兒

死囝仔 (pronounced "shi ghin-a" or "si ghin-a") or 死囝仔寶 (shi ghin-a boh)
猴囝仔 (ghao ghin-a)

I don't know if this is Taiwanese Hokkien or MAndarin but brat is also :小搗蛋 (siao Hun dan) ;小傢伙(siao Jia huo)

Does anyone know any others?

(adj.) 孤窟 koo1-khut8

:!: Mavericker, I think you should understand that it is not a good idea to rely on the translations of individual terms--- especially slang terms, because they are used differently in different cultures. Most of the terms you have asked about are hard to translate because they can't be fully captured in single phrases.

It would be a lot better if you asked for translations of entire sentences instead (and made the context clear).

I also think that you should have at the very least a basic grasp of the language before you attempt to use any of these translations. You should also familarize yourself with a romanization scheme (TL, TLPA, POJ, etc.) so that you will know how to pronounce the translations correctly. You can't just pronounce them as if they were English (or Mandarin pinyin).

Here is a mini-quiz using very basic Taiwanese (and POJ romanization). If you can't understand what I've written, then I highly recommend that you spend a year or two to learn Taiwanese before attempting to learn more slang. :)

Goá sī Tāi-oân-lâng. Goá toà tī Bí-kok. Lí sī tó-uī lâng? Lí kám bat chia̍h-koè ô-á-chian? Tâi-oân ê sió-chia̍h (m̄-sī sió-chiá!) chin hó-chia̍h! Lí kám sī koh-tiong-seng ia̍h-sī tāi-ha̍k-seng? Goá kóng-ê oē, goá siá-ê jī, lí kám khoàⁿ ū?

Hello duaaagiii-thank you for responding.

This question is for all posters.

How would you say "lone wolf" in Tawainese (hokkien) slang, as a noun?

As in:

I know Thomas doesn't like working with others.
Thomas is a lone wolf.

Duaaagiii, you never answered my question:

Hello. What noun can I use in conjunction with these adjectives:

tough (adj.)
儼硬
giam2-nge7 or giam2-ngi7
