A few small questions

Post by jilang »

Hi
Once again I have some simple questions.

1)
Are the two words "bin" (from "tui bin" meaning "opposite") and "mi" meaning "noodles" lterary and colloqual pronounciations of 面?

2)
What is the hanzi for "bun toe" meaning problem, "khun" meaning "sleep" and "hiam" meaning complain?

Thanks

thank you.

Looking at the hanzi for "bun toe" in Mandarin it is "wen ti" which means "question". In Hokkien does it also mean "question"? And if it does then is it that the Hokkien and Mandarin "bun toe" and "wen ti" mean the same things?
