English - Penang Hokkien Dictionary?

Hey, I need to know how to say 'betrayed' or something similar in Penang Hokkien.

In case there is no direct translation, I will explain why I want it. A friend of mine who speaks Penang Hokkien has hurt me badly and I want my MSN name to be "betrayed" but I don't want everyone else on my list to see it. So "betrayed" or something similar would be good.

betray = ch'ǔt bĕh/buĕh (depending on your sub-dialect) 出賣

He might be using a different romanization scheme.

to betray - 出賣 tshut4-be7/boe7
betrayed - 予人出賣 hoo7 lang5 tshut4-be7/boe7

Yes, please excuse me. I have not worked out the standard Romanisation and tone numbering yet.

I always had the impression that hoo7 was 與. Guess I was wrong.

And if I am not mistaken, strictly speaking lang5 is 儂, and 人 is jin5. Though, I have also read elsewhere that lang5 is the 俗讀 (vulgar reading) for 人.

人 can have baidu lang.see the book by 李熙泰
地震 have the same vowel ang

Both words have the right meaning and pronunciation. However, 與 also has the meaning 'and', and is harder to write, so I prefer 予.

Thanks for your insights.

Okay, the purist in me is crying out (as Sim is well-accustomed to!), so please bear with me...

So, between 予 and 與, both having the correct meaning and pronunciation notwithstanding, which of the two 漢字 Hanzi does hoo7 refer to exactly? What I mean is, logically it has to be only one of them.

Also, I had the impression that in 古文 Old Chinese, 予 had a specific meaning for "I/me", and that the meaning "to give" is a later development that occurred along a different etymological line from Hokkien (bearing in mind that the 閩 Min dialects developed around the 1st century CE, before the development of Mandarin).
