Hi,
I need some help from you guys who understand hokkiens.
Lately I have made a visit to an old aunt and she showed me an old book with chinese characters and told me that it is a familytree book from the Huang (Her surname is Huang) and made by her late father round 1930.
During the conversation she said that in when she was young she oftenly came to the house of my great grandfather and had to call her 'older uncle' (mpek) to him, which is surprised me since her older brother was a classmate of my late father. (So my father should call his friend as a younger grandfather).
Anyway, after I asked her, she mentioned she is also related with my family through my great grandfather, and she showed me a short translation of the book in dutch and she pointed me to a name 'anniang' who married someone called 'yang benli'. To my surprise, I looked to my own familytree book which I myself prepared, the father of my grandfather was 'Yeo Poen Lie' and his wife 'Oey An Nio'.
To make the story short, I have here some names writen in pinyin and I like to have the hokkien name for that, since I like to know the name of my family.
Huang Chongwen, married with Hong had 2 sons : Gaozhang & Gaopan and 2 daughters (not mentioned)
Huang Chongwen married for 2nd time with Pan from 'Laosuxiao' and 4 sons : Jingfu, Jingxing, Jingxi and Jingcai + 2 daughters Anniang married with Yang Benli and Shunniang married with Ye Qing'an.
Jingfu married Xue and had 1 son Quanxin and 1 daughter Yiren who was married to Liu Furen.
Jingfu married again with Guo and had 1 son Quan'an and 2 daughters Guiniang who was married with Kang Yongsong and Duiniang who was married with Lin Wanying.
Jingxing married with Chen and had 3 sons : Wanxing, Wangui en Wanmei. 3 daughters : Renniang who was married with Zheng Dexin, Senniang who was married with Wen Baoguan and Zhiniang.
Jingxi married Shi had 2 sons Qi'an and Tiangui. 4 daughters : Linniang who was married with Chen Bochuan, Meiniang who was married with Liu Songzhen, Zhuniang who was married Chen Fangshan and Yueniang who was married with Wu Xinguang.
Jingcai married Chen Jinniang, third daughter of Chen Guide and had 5 sons and 5 daughters.
Sons are : Tianquan, Tianlu, Tianying, Tianrui and Tianji
Daughters are : Linniang who was married with Chen Jinji, Meiniang who died at the age of 16 years, Manchi who was married with Xue Banfeng, Hongniang who was married with Liu Luoyan and Sizhi who was married with Lin Zhaoqing.
This Tianji was the father of my aunt and in our local language known as Oey Thiam Kie (Indonesian Hokkiens).
If you can translate all those names into Hokkiens, I will be very grateful.
Regards,

You're welcome. The names you listed, excluding the two parents, are only those of the 19th generation, their spouses and their children, which are listed on pages 1--3. The six remaining pages cover generations 20 and 21.hays wrote:Hi duaaagiii,

Again thank you,
