Hi duaaagiii,
Again, many thanks for the names.
I see that my old aunt which I visited last week is also mentioned in the familytree as Po Giok. Her older brother was a classmate of my late father named Teng Kwan, and I knew also the other one as Teng Mo (you wrote as Teng Boh).
As you know we from Indonesia have a slightly different way of romanization then you guys with English influence. But is there also any difference between romanization in Penang and Singapore for example ?
Also from my former research to familytree, I found also that in Indonesia there are slightly differences between people coming from Quanzhao prefecture and the one coming from Zhangzhao prefecture. I am not sure if it is always happend or only in several cases.

Hi duaaagiii,
I have put 4 pages before the nine pages you have seen in : http://www.haryono.net/misc/huang-1.pdf
Can you tell me what the name of the parrent which I wrote as Huang Chongwen ? And when you see the pages, did they say about places somewhere in Fujian ? May be I can visit the village if I know the exact name of it.
Too bad that the book is about 100 pages thick and too much to be translated.
Thank you,
Steve Haryono

Hi,
During my last visit to my hometown in Indonesia, I visit to my late uncle. There I found a gravestone of the second wife of my ancestor. (This ancestor was the first who came to Indonesia from Fujian, China). The gravestone itself was dated in 1888.
If someone can write in minnan (hokkian) the name of the descendants which are stated on the gravestones I would be very grateful.
You can see the photo at : http://www.haryono.net/misc/Zheng.jpg
The first 4 are the sons (first one, we knew the name is Phia-teng and the last is Hoan-ciong)
The second list are 16 grandchildren. My great-grandfather's father should be stated here (his name is Ciao-Cai - our dutch spelling written as Tjiauw Tjay)
The third row are 9 great-grandsons. My great-grandfather should be stated here. His name is Han-tong
Thank you in advance,
Steve

Hi,
Here am I again, asking for help.
I have a few photo's of gravestones which I collected last year during my visit to my hometown.
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Yeo-1.jpg <- This is from my paternal greatgrandfather. His name is Yeo Tjeng Kang (it is dutch spelling. In Singapore it should be Yeo Cheng Kang may be)
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Yeo-2.jpg <-- the upper part of his descendant
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Yeo-3.jpg <-- the lower part of his descendant.
I need to have all the names of descendants written on this gravestone since some uncle and great-uncle has died before I was born and my family still argued what their official names are. Funny, but some people (at least 2 of them) had 2 names and now no body knows what are their official names.
Beside those 3 gravestone, I was visiting a family graveyard from my greatgrandmother family. There are 5 gravestones wtih chinese characters and some others with latins, so those are cleared for me. But for the 5 gravestone, I need some explanation:
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Oey-2.jpg <- this should be from Oey Thiam Seng (may be with singapore spelling should be Ooi Thiam seng ?) He was appointed Luitenant for the chinese in his village.
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Oey-1.jpg <- this should be his son, we called Oey Jat Bie also appointed Luitenant
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Oey-3.jpg <- this one, I am not sure who is burried here.
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Oey-4.jpg <- stated as Oey Tjoen Hwie, but still can not find his name in our familytree. May be if we know the names of his descendants we will know who he is.
http://www.haryono.net/misc/Oey-5.jpg <- If I was correctly told, this should be my greatgrandmother, named Oey Kim Lie, daughter of Oey Jat Bie.
Every stories I heard, are from the local people who lived nearby the graveyard. Even my direct uncle (younger brother of my father) doesn't know who's who in those family graveyard
If someone can give me a full translations of the gravestone (the most important is the names and the descendant's names and the year when they died, I will be very grateful.
Thank you in advance,
Steve Haryono
