I am trying to find out what the tones are for 7, 8 & 9. Here is what I have read about them so far:
They are for syllables ending in p, t & k
They are similar to tones 1, 3 & 6
They are staccato whereas the others are legato
They are pronounced louder
Is that the only differences, are all of the above correct, are there any more differences?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its not that they're pronounced louder as "staccato", but rather, the p, t, and k ending to a syllable makes the sound shorter. Thus sounds ending in vowels or nasals (m, n, ng) can sound longer than staccato sounds of the tones 7, 8 and 9.
