"jan wai" and "ji jan"

Hi,

There is a word 'jan3 wai4' that sounds like 因為 but is a verb. I heard it in the context of 'jan3 di4 wai4' where di4 i believe is "o的" (for some/a little). So it sounded like 因o的為 but has a different meaning. Ideas?

Another word I wanted to ask was the word "ji3 jan1". (Noun I think) But don't confuse it with the word for hospital, 醫院。 Ideas?

your tones confused me I guess it to be

因的位, jan1 di1 wai2 to estimate the space, use your eyesight to measure things so as to determine whether the space is enough,

伊人 ji1 jan1 always with zuk1捉, 捉伊人means to play hide and seek.
