Can anyone help me find a suitable translation of the name Jeff or Jeffrey in Cantonese? What do people in HK use?
The only version of Jeffrey I've seen works for Mandarin but not Cantonese:
Mand. jie (=distinguished person; Cant. "giht")
Mand. fo (=Buddha; Cant. "faht")
Mand. rui (=good omen/auspicious; Cant. "seuih")
I don't want to be called Giht-faht-seuih! Can anyone help me please?!
