Hey Great Wall:
Thanks. There's alot of these that I haven't heard in years. It's great for a good laugh and rhymes like these surely do reveal alot about one's culture.
(Melody from a wedding song)
行啦, 老陳, 從此被困, …
This one I have never heard before, funny as hell.
grade school rhymes
Re: grade school rhymes
Hi Sebastian, my wife got the following part.
和尚頭
點豉油
點得多
鹹過頭
點得少
淡茂茂
Songs like 月光光, 點蟲蟲 and 雞公仔 are recorded in a research monograph by Helen Kwok's and Mimi Chan's (1990), but I wonder if there is any book that has these common nursery rhymes/children's songs/popular phrases used by Cantonese-speaking children? It's interesting from the viewpoint of cultural heritage, as these are disappearing in Hong Kong.
