dou jeh

Post by Bob »

Dou jeh means thank you but when I was watching a cantonese film someone said "dou jeh" and it the subtitles said in english "sorry". When the english subtitles said thank you it was different. They said something like something with a zi on the end. Do you know what they ment.

Thank You
jeany

yes, "do jeh" is thank you, just this mean,no others.
"m(唔) guai" is also "thank you",and it is used to express "please" or" sorry".
"m hou yi xi" is "please" or "sorry" .

what you said about "zi" might be this "xi"?

I am a cantonese. what about you? which courtry?
