Hokkien pronounciation
Re: Hokkien pronounciation
I'll just put in the ones I know. Thak-chheh-im 讀冊音 (the pronunciation you use when you are reading a Classical Chinese text out loud and for most words found in such texts used in spoken language) are in capitals, and kong-wa-im 講話音(the pronunciation used when speaking) are in lower case letters. When there is just one pronunciation, I left it in lower case. Transcription is according to POJ (peh-oe-ji) system, without tone marks.
命 = ming BENG/mia
移 = yi2 = i
恩 = en1 = un/in (depending on the dialect - if you say "hu" for "fish" then use "un" and if you say "hi" then use "in"
勃 = bo2 = put
貴 = gui4 = kui
親 = qin1 = Chhin
或 = huo4 = hek
満 = man3? = BOAN/moa
恭 = gong1 = kiong
Someone else may have to put the tone numbers in for me.

I thought this website has been mentioned many times in my other thread ? Didn't you read it ?
Anyway, this is the best and most accurate online website for minnan I can find, you can type in the pinyin or the chinese character.

However, it is based on quanzhou sound and not penang hokkien which is based on zhangzhou sound.
