RICH Summer Camp was first hold in 2006. It hosted by Rich learning center and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Beijing Language and Culture University was founded in 1962. It is the only international university in China with its main task set at teaching the Chinese language and culture to foreign students.

Over the last few years, I have spent my summers working at a summer camp, a well established tradition in the United States. My interest in China has brought up the question of whether or not China has any tradition of summer camp programs of a similar nature.
