Input Method by Ministry of Education of Taiwan

Post by aokh1979 »

MOE Taiwan has finally put together a very useful input method for Hokkien in Chinese characters. I downloaded it, tried it and I am very happy with it.

1. It uses Tailo (not POJ) as supported by local government.
2. Words can be input without the tone, key in and hit space will do.
3. New vocabulary (like some words I would like to add for Penang) can be updated very easily to the library.
4. Variant can be updated very easily, like 青 being tshinn as default whilst I pronounce tsheenn in Penang.

Download from: http://140.111.56.95/hanji/MOE_TBHS_2.0.exe
User Manual: http://140.111.56.95/hanji/suatbing.pdf

Unfortunately I am a Mac user at home. I wish they released a Mac version soon, they have both Windows and Linux already. ^_^
