Hi all,
Thinking of either;
1. 张正颖
2. 张颖亮
Please help translate both in hokkein. Thank you.

Re: Please help tanslate my son's name to hokkein
Hi tengirri:
張正穎 = Teoh + Cheng / Ching + Eng
張穎亮 = Teoh + Eng + Leong / Liong / Liang (depending on your ancestral variant of Hokkien)

Tks bro for all the help. If u know mind, can u help confirm whether 张颖康=Teo Eng Kiong?
Re: Please help tanslate my son's name to hokkein
No. It is Teo/Tio Eng/Ing Khong (not Kiong). The Kh is actually a 'stressed' K which some Pinyin use K' but is impractical for malaysian/singapore names.tengirri wrote:Tks bro for all the help. If u know mind, can u help confirm whether 张颖康=Teo Eng Kiong?
亮 is most commonly called Liong

Hokkien doesn't have 'Y' initial consonant.
It is Chee Eng or Chee Ing.
