Hello,
I am writing a piece of music to commemorate the Chinese railroad workers. I want to call it Gold Mounain Lament in Cantonese.
I know that Gold Mountain is Gum San . . . but what is lament?? I've tried looking it up in dictionaries but it gives me several words. I need "lament" meaning a song to commemorate the dead.
Could someone please send me the Chinese characters for this too?? (Gold Mountain Lament)
I would be eternally greatful!
Thanks!
translate lament
Re: translate lament
Actually, I spoke online to someone yesterday and they said I should write "Gum San Oi Go" . . . It translates as "Gold Mountain Elegy". Does this make sense?
Thanks!
Thanks!
