Hokkien name help

Hi everyone,
I'm new here. I need help fr all hokkien gurus here to help me with the translation of my baby boy's Chinese name. His name is 湧峻.

Can some1 help me?

湧 - iong (proper) or Yong (estimate)
峻 - Jun or Joon

Note: iong is a bit difficult for non linguist to pronounce. So Yong is actually easier to read.

I got 1 more question here. I tried to find this word <湧> in my chinese dictionary to no avail. Went online to search, only to get this result, it says, similar to <涌>. But so do they mean the same? Or is <涌> the 简笔字 of <湧>?

The Taiwanese Ministry of Education has a truly amazing site which lists character variants: http://140.111.1.40

The character you're interested in 涌 is this one: http://140.111.1.40/yitib/frb/frb02099.htm

On the page, you can see (middle character of the bitmaps) that 湧 is a known variant. In this particular case, the Unicode consortium seems to have decided to assign it a unicode point of its own (perhaps because both 涌 and 湧 were already encoded in Big5), but both would appear to be 'essentially the same character'.

Furthermore, on the Unicode site, you can also see (scroll down to the bottom of each page, under "kSemanticVariant"):

that they are considered variants of one another.
