Help needed: Hokkien/Minnan Name

Post by ksg »

Hi,

I need help to form an english dialect version for the name : 冠峄(冠嶧in traditional chinese); hanyu pinyin (guan1 yi4).

(And if needed, my ancestors are from 福建安溪, in case there are local variants of the Hokkien/Minnan language)

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi, ksg,

That would be Kuan Aik. There are more accurate ways to spell it, but I am guessing that you are either from Malaysia or Singapore, in which case this would be the most common spelling convention.
