Need Hakka speaker

Post by James Campbell »

Our agency needs a native Hakka speaker for a small project this
week. It does not involve translation, just some questions, and we
can pay you for the assignment.

If you're interested, please write an email to Mike at translation
(at) glossika (dot) com. He'll be able to send you some more
information.

Thanks,

James

Dear Mulan,
Thanks for the offer - I really need it! I have not yet met a HAKKA speaker in the Philippines because most Chinese here are Fookienese. I have the texts in "Classical Chinese". I was told even the texts have to be in the particular Chinese language, for example, Hakka. I can send the Classical texts by e-mail, but I think I also need the Hakka ones. The pronunciation can be made on tape, or wavefile (so they can be sent by e-mail). Please reply to my e-mail address danteferry@yahoo.com
Thanks a lot! - Dante Ferry, Manila, Philippines

Dear Mulan and Couyimin, Can they be written in "Church romanization" with the distinctive tones instead of taping them? But sound is much better because not all sounds can be written down. Thank you! - Dante Ferry
