The biggest challenge in learning I see not in hanzi, but in getting the right pronunciation - learning the tones. I've been learning Japanese for some time, so I know how to approach the characters but tones are hard to pick up, especially when reading whole sentences.
Is there someone willing to record a few texts of mine or your choice and send to me? Let's discuss what you wnat in return for that.
