I was looking through the Hokkien books on offer at the big bookstore in Wangfujing in Beijing today.
I bought 新家波閩南話詞典, and 馬來西亞的三個漢語方言.
The latter is very well compiled with words and phrases in Mandarin with side by side translations in Cantonese, Hakka, and ...Teochew. Aaargh!!! If it gave Hokkien instead of Teochew it would be a bestseller back home. I bought it because it was still useful nonetheless.
Example of entry:
打架 - Cant.: 打交 ts'ou21kau55 嗌交 Nai33kau55 ?? Na21lO35; Hakka: 吵交 ts'au21kau33; Teo.: 相罵 sio~33me11

They also had a dictionary called something like 閩與古漢語詞典, as well as a whole series of different Fangyan Cidian, but they were out of the Xiamen one. It is the same as is advertised (but inaccessible) on the glossika site.
I have to say some of the entries given for Zhangzhou in the 閩與古漢語詞典
were confusing and not at all like what I remember from Douglas. It seemed to me like perhaps they were sometimes giving the literary, sometimes the colloquial, pronunciations without properly differentiating them: e.g. for 上 they gave all kinds of pronunciations except the one Douglas gives for Zhangzhou, i.e. teng5. Can someone with both books to hand please comment?

I think that guhanyu book is by a xiamen university prof a few years ago .She is using diferrent romanization;also she has not the same view for those sounds compare to douglas ' s view.
Unfortunely no reprint of 5 books on cuan ciu(including a eng chun fanfyanzhi in 1989) from china and no zhangzhou fang yan zhi for its 10 small towns from china yet.
I also want to read that book on song dai min yin as mentioned in glossika.
