A real nice site to learn Taiwanese Hokkien

Post by Niuc »

http://edu.ocac.gov.tw/language/taiwanese/

The link above is a real nice site on learning Taiwanese Hokkien (台語 Taigi). The design is very nice, with audio & picture illustration. It also contains Taiwanese folk songs, idioms & games.

If you know Mandarin, it's easier, but English translation is also available.

Every lesson is audible (click the lips icon) and has pictures. There are 'E' & 'C' icons for English & Mandarin translation in most pages. The first lesson has link to samples of eight tones, can be heard by clicking the audio link (lips icon). Link to samples of phoneme are found in second lesson. Each lesson has 3 links located at right bottom: phonology exercise, vocabulary (with English & Mandarin translation appeared when lips icon i.e. audio icon is clicked) & rehearsal.

Folk songs, idioms, games are also very nice. Do try!

Enjoy the learning.
