Looking for character/romanization dictionary database

Hi,

I'm looking for a file containing a parse-able database of Fujianese or Taiwanese romanization and Chinese characters (plus English would be fine, but optional). Basically I want to take a crack at doing an automated translation from Chinese characters to Fujianese/Taiwanese, if such a think is even crudely possible, to help a non-literate elderly friend read some Chinese. I'm not sure which is the dominant romanization, whether it's Pe̍h-ōe-jī or one of the others, so any form at this point would be great. If you know of such a file and can point me to it, I'd appreciate it.
