so difficult!
did mandarin written language change over the last 60 years? this seems to be written 60 years ago as a document for the government (he writes "move to HK in 1940" "joined army in 1960" "second child died" etc
in addition to the handwriting + scan being difficult to read in general. it just seems like he is writing in another language! and not just the short hands/simplified chinese scattered throughout.
did the language change? cause i know i can read traditional chinese newspaper but i have a lot of trouble reading what he is writing
