Hi,

I've converted the original docmas9.txt file by using a computer program I wrote, problem is, the HTML output is over nine megabytes. I've supplied source datafiles and the executable file to convert it. The zipped file is a fraction of the size of the eventual HTML output, 262kb.

According to the "docuse7.doc" file. the number "0707" refers to the page number (070) and the location number (7) for the character "一" in the 
Hanyu Fangyin Zihui.

Thanks for the clarification, I must've missed it.

For unicode IPA characters, the following page was one I refered to,

There are downloads available for Lucida Sans Unicode and other fonts.

Yeah I can view it.

I'm using Windows 95 with the Arial Unicode MS font supplied by Microsoft.

Also, thanks for the credit. I do hope you know that Kobo-Daishi is a pseudonym that I use for forums (that's why I include my initials PLLA) and that it's the name of a real historical Japanese monk.

I would really like to see a Hokkien annotator like the ones you have for Mandarin, Cantonese & Hakka but I guess since there are so much variations between the various sub-dialects of Hokkien and no one standard that it would be near impossible. What with the great variation between literary and colloquial pronunciations.

Though an annotator using "church" romanization would have been great.

Thanks for the feedback. I rewrite your name with initals on the next update.

I updated the download last night, after finding some irregularities with the Taiyuan tones, having corrected them and reduced the size of the file further, it is now around 5062 kb unzipped, or 455 kb zipped. Please revisit the page and redownload to get the corrected version.

I'm working on the problem of why there are a list of readings which have no tone information other than X for the tone and H for the yin/yang split. Please see
