I don't reply because I went to nan an city along with a taoist temple to 迎尪(inviting a statue). The trip is cheaper with those people. It is a chance for me to learn 3 kinds of nan an dialects directly.
niu,
What sound you use for 肯 。wendu is khing﹐kherng, khng in 肯定。
baidu for this word . khin, khan. Maybe you don't use this baidu for 肯 bo,m 肯?

Hi Hong

Wow so you visited 南安 Lam5-ua*1 (Nan-an)? Could you please share with us your experience there, including about its dialects? Thanks.

For 肯 we say khing2. If I remember correctly [since we hardly use], 肯定 is khing2-ting7, I am not aware of its colloquial form. We do use 肯 khing2 in khing2_bo0 [bo5 neutralized] and m7-khing2.

Singapore minnan dict didn't say anything but 肯,They only mentioned it as two english borrowing words. However I did hear Singaporean say m khin although he failed to say it in cuanciu style,it is 55 not 53 .So it is just Prof.Chiu overlooked about it.Some taiwanese say khun if I am not mistaken.
As for nan an city trip,my intention is to hear the cuanciu sandhi and light tone directly which is not mentioned clearly in Prof.Li 's fangyanzhi.I learnt a lot even from a kid. Sadly I don't have a chance to visit cuanciu libary to photocopy some articles.
However for those special vocabulary we have to wait for at least a few new cuanciu dict to learn it properly. Don't believe Prof.Ang 's view above that tairidacidian is the best minnan dict .So many words in cuanciu and ciangciu fangyanzhi is not included in that dict.

Is the Hanzi for 'kia' (scared) 驚 or 惊? I often see it written as the latter.

Mark, the second character is simply the simplified form of the first.

ko ka ho ( is't better) 可较好
Isn't 可 supposed to be accented, i.e. "k'o", whereas the "ko" in "ko ka ho" is not?

On the same topic, what is the Hanzi for the "ko" in "bue-ko" 未-ko (not yet)?

koh-ka = 3 benzi is possible.koh=却,更,故。some cuanciu say ku.
bue-ko is just the same hanzi
