This is an interesting brief introduction of Chinese language though the classification of Hakka and teochew as Yue language is not correct. Hakka is a language family itself and teochew is under Min language family, a distant relative of Min nan dialects.

Sorry, but Chiew Lee Yih isn't the best source of information as you've found for yourself. Get a good standard textbook on the subject on HanYu YuYanXue. Like

YuYanXue by LIN Tao, GENG ZhenSheng. SanMin Publication House. ISBN 957-14-2677-6. (1999)

Eng wai,

Thanks for the link. I went to have a look, it does not say that hakka and teochew are yue language but that they are additional languages spoken in gwang tung province. I think you misunderstood them.

Hakka people also reside in hokkien province.

Hakka is a separate "language" but they sound similar to cantonese.
teochiu belongs to minnan.
